Thanks to our supporters, we've planted millions of trees, created homes for endangered species and protected beloved landscapes. But the fight for nature isn't over. Help us to grow more trees, fight climate change and keep communities thriving.
We won’t have a world worth living in without woods and trees, so we need to do all we can to look after them.
There is so much more to do if we are to have any chance of beating the climate and nature crisis.
Of course, woods aren’t just there to lock away carbon and give rare species a home. They are the hearts of communities. Places to escape for space, relaxation, clean air and wellbeing.
We need your help. Your generous support means we can react to emergencies like storm-damaged pathways in our new Mourne Park. It funds essential tasks like expert woodland care and habitat restoration. With your donation, we can secure a greener future for woods and wildlife, one sapling, one path and one legal challenge at a time.
It’s only been three years, but already so much has happened at these sites since we asked for help. None of it would have been possible otherwise. We hope you find it inspiring and reassuring that we spend your donations wisely and where they are most needed.

So much has happened on Ben Shieldaig, our mountain in the northwest Highlands, since our last appeal – including a new identity! Our two neighbouring estates Couldoran and Ben Shieldaig have merged to become Gleann Shìldeag and we’ve been busy restoring habitats, collecting tree seeds and recording thousands of species of wildlife. The first trees are going in the ground this month.

This site is our windswept Yorkshire dream. We seized the chance to restore 600 hectares at Snaizeholme and, thanks to you, much is now ours. Trees are growing, peat is being restored, nature is regenerating and wildlife – including red squirrels – will thrive in this upland haven.

Devon's newest wild gem, Yonder Oak Wood, is now blooming. Acquired in 2022 to celebrate our birthday and named by locals, this wood has stunning views, ancient oaks and thriving bluebells. Volunteers work with us to clear invasives, plant trees, and map wildlife, while deer-proof fences (no plastic!) protect young saplings. It will soon be open and free to explore for all.

Pepper Wood is a piece of history. A community's pride and joy. One of our most treasured woods. And thanks to our appeals, we've doubled its size. Our extension to the wood will transform the area into a new haven for wildlife.
