When you give in memory of a loved one, your donation will become a lasting memorial, a symbol of hope and a gift to future generations. However you choose to remember them, we’re here to help you ensure their story lives on amongst the woods and the trees.

When my mother-in-law wanted to dedicate a bench to her late husband, we knew we had found the right location. Dappled sunlight, magnificent beech trees, quiet meandering paths, birdsong and... tranquillity. Somewhere to be still and remember. It is our sacred place.

Dedicate a tree or woodland

Honour a loved one who cherished spending time in nature by dedicating a tree or leafy glade in one of our woods. Your chosen wood can become a space to sit and reflect, and there is the option to add a personalised bench or post to dedications of an acre or quarter acre.

Plant a memorial tree at home

Plant a memorial tree at home where you can watch your loved one’s sapling grow and thrive for years to come. Though we don’t plant in memory trees in our woods, we stock lots of garden-friendly trees that are great for wildlife and a beautiful tribute to the person you dearly miss. These include silver birch, a symbol of renewal, and whitebeam, associated with wisdom.

Scattering ashes in our woods

Choosing where to scatter a loved one’s ashes is a deeply emotional decision, and we want to support you in finding a meaningful place to do so. To protect the delicate balance of our ancient woodlands and the precious old trees within them, which are especially vulnerable, we don’t permit ash scattering in those specific areas. However, we have many other beautiful and tranquil woods where you’re welcome to carefully scatter ashes, and we can help you find the right one.

However you choose to remember your loved one, the gift you give won’t end there. Every pound we receive works hard to protect trees under threat, restore ancient woods back to health, and create more wooded havens for people and wildlife across the UK.
