We all need trees – to lock up carbon, protect us from the effects of climate change, support our wildlife and make us all happier and healthier. But our woods and trees are in trouble. Threatened by disease, damage and development, their health is dwindling, and some are disappearing altogether.

Protecting, restoring and creating woods and trees has never been more important. This is why our passionate team works with inspirational philanthropists to plant beautiful, flourishing woodlands full of life; restore damaged ancient woods to their former broadleaved glory; and inspire millions of people to enjoy and protect our natural world.

What your gift could achieve

As we find ourselves facing intertwined climate and nature crises, your contribution is needed more than ever. Major gifts of £5,000 or beyond have the potential to make a real and lasting impact. Your gift can help us:

save some of the UK's most precious, irreplaceable habitats from destruction
restore damaged woodlands, letting in dappled sunlight and creating the conditions for specialist plants to thrive once again
plant the trees we urgently need to redress the balance for people and nature.

could help us use heavy horses to extract timber in sensitive ancient woods, as part of the restoration process

could sponsor an area of woodland at the Young People's Forest, Derbyshire, with an inscribed plaque and post

£50,000

could help us restore ancient woodland at Credenhill Park Wood, Herefordshire
