Community tree planting at Railway Wood
Drop in to help us plant new trees at Railway Wood and create a welcoming space at an otherwise busy commuter junction.
Railway Wood, Livingston
Grab a spade and help plant new native trees at Railway Wood.
Drop in to help us replant the area with a variety of native broadleaf trees following recent felling works.
As the name suggests, Railway Wood is right next to Uphall Train Station in Livingston, nestled between the train line and M8 motorway. Please meet at the site entrance, marked by a vehicle barrier just off the B8046 heading north before it passes under the M8. You will be welcomed there by staff in high-vis vests.
This is a free event but booking in advance via Eventbrite is essential.
Please wear suitable clothing and footwear for planting outdoors. Good waterproofs, walking boots and warm layers are advised.
There are limited facilities and no toilets on site. The nearest toilets are located at Dobbies Garden Centre (EH52 6PA), roughly 1.3 miles away.
