Challenge yourself to our fun interactive trail and help take on climate change at Mourne Park.

Using the What3Words app on your phone, navigate around this ancient woodland while searching out trail panels to complete the challenge and find out how woods help us all in the fight against climate change. Find all the panels and claim your reward!

The trail is perfect for older children and teenagers but everyone is welcome.

Booking is essential. There are four hourly time slots available - 11am–12pm, 12–1pm, 1–2pm and 2–3pm. Please book for the time that suits you.

Don't forget

You must download the What3Words app to your phone before attending. Full instructions will be sent with your booking email.

Please wear sturdy footwear and dress appropriately for the weather.

Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

There are portable toilets on site.

  • Date: Saturday 12 April, 11am–12pm, 12–1pm, 1–2pm and 2–3pm.
  • Price: £5 per young person (under 18), £1 per accompanying adult. Donations to support the management of our woods are also welcome.
  • Location: Mourne Park, Kilkeel, County Down, BT34 4LB.

  • Access: some areas of the trail will be rough and stony underfoot with occasional steep sections and steps. The trail will take approximately 60 minutes to complete.
